Bio:

Guglielmo Bottin (Padua, 1977) is an artist, producer and sound designer based in Venice, Italy.

After graduating in Psychology of Music at the University of Padua, he was selected as creative consultant to the sound and music department of Fabrica, the Benetton communication research center created by Oliviero Toscani.

Before moving to the forefront of the contemporary electronic scene with seminal releases on BearFunk (UK), Italians Do It Better (Usa) and Eskimo (Belgium) he has worked as producer, arranger and remixer for major Italian and international artists (such as Lucio Dalla, Rettore, Chambao).

Bottin has toured in more than 30 countries, fom the Americas to Australia, from Europe to Asia, from Berlin underground events to renowned parties in Ibiza. He curated several music events for the Biennale of Contemporary Dance in Venice and carried out sound design at the 51st Biennale of Contemporary Arts (Spanish Pavilion by Muntadas).

His sets are eclectic, unpredictable journeys into space disco, dark tribal house and rare gems from the past, all reworked for the modern audience. A reckless blend of retro-futuristic sounds and contemporary electronica that always sets the dance floor on fire.

Bottin makes music only an Italian can make... probably. Take a youth spent against a background of old Italian Giallo soundtracks, add in late 70s Italian disco influences, a touch of free and easy west-coast vibe and a smattering of kitsch. That just about half describes Bottin.
